I am setting the initial view to Quebec, but I think it is important to indicate that language groups extend far beyond quebec borders. I will alter the shapes to more precisely identify territory later.
Students could copy this map and then edit the shape descriptions to include information about these groups, or to attach and annotate "artifacts" or other images depending on how this map is used.
(Note: Teachers could also load up a copy of this type of map with information and provide it directly to students. Or use it as an answer key).
